One of the most strikingly meaningful coincidences during the course of my Dreamcatching book reviews happens to be a recent one.
‘The Exaltation of The Minotaur’ by Damian Murphy.
Edgar Chamberlain, the name of one of this book’s characters, I discovered by research, wrote a book entitled ‘Homing Pigeon’ in 1907.
That knowledge then acted as a revelatory force in realising that Edgar’s wife was effectively being used as a homing pigeon, thus giving the book’s organic ideas even more depth.
The author later told me publicly that, until he read my review, he had no idea there was a writer called Edgar Chamberlain who had written a book entitled ‘Homing Pigeon’.
